"Looking Out" is a commissioned piece for a front entry of a renovated home in Brisbane. It takes inspiration from a leadlight peephole window in the lovely old front door. It was designed in unison with "Looking Beyond" the rug leading onto the front deck. My clients reflected with sadness on a story of a Stenocarpus Sinuatus tree ( Firewheel ) being removed from the neighborhood. Looking Beyond depicts a deconstructed firewheel flower with the diamond like pattern from the peephole superimposed.
