After the sheer devastion of a bushfire, comes new life.
Wattle is usually the first flower to appear after a bushfire. It is resurrected from the dead, as is this old chair, restored and ready to live again.
I am calling for the resurrection of the traditional craftsmanship of the past: knitting, lacemaking, tapestry, weaving, needlework, sewing and even upholstery. Working with one’s hands to restore and renew .
This chair has been reupholstered with textiles created and dyed by hand. All fibres, and fabric were hand-dyed using natural dyes.
